Welcome to the Disciples
Greetings from the members of the Nevada Disciples
Christian Church! We are located at 125 North Prewitt
Street on the west side of town, across from the National
Guard Armory. We celebrate God’s grace and mercy
being given to all who accept Christ’s redemptive love.
We are a movement of wholeness in a fragmented world,
Disciples are prepared by our traditions for these difficult
times. We who are members of the Body of Christ strive
every day to build a new realm where all will live in the
transcendent peace of the incarnate Word. For 2025, let
us renew our commitment to that vision in both word and
deed.

The Advent Adventure
This December, the Disciples Christian Church will
be celebrating the Advent Adventure—the mystery and
wonder of the coming of our Savior, both in His birth in a
manger centuries ago as well as His coming in the future
according to prophecy.
December 1, 11:00 a.m.: Hope—The reading of
the Old Testament scripture from Jeremiah proclaims the
Savior’s arrival.
December 8, 11:00 a.m.: Love—The gospel
reading from Luke tells the story of God’s perfect
Love, which is also celebrated in its manifestation among
us.
December 15, 11:00 a.m.: Joy—We learn that
God wants us all to experience the Joy in His gift of
salvation.
December 22, 11:00 a.m.: Peace—We reflect on
the transcendent peace through the Word made Flesh
that continues to bless us despite worldly circumstances:
December 22, 5:00 p.m.: Candlelight
Service—In a quiet reflective atmosphere we will gather
to reflect in scripture and music the Savior’s birth.

Adventure this Christmas season.

DISCIPLES CHRISTIAN CHURCH (Disciples of Christ) of Nevada, Missouri you can expect a worship service lasting about an hour with a warm welcome combination of traditional and contemporary music. Sermons are timely and thoughtfully prepared and serve to lift up the name and teachings of Jesus Christ as Lord. We offer the celebration of the Lord’s Supper every Sunday all are welcome to partake. Everyone has the opportunity to provide leadership in worship and congregational life.

You leave with a sense of having done what God expects of you …having glorified Jesus Christ.
